Constantinos Frydakis is the Managing Partner of ConFryd Business Consultants. Constantinos has more than thirteen years of professional and management experience in Financial Services and nine years in Information Technology sector, including extensive Board experience, and in different organisations spanning from start-ups to large multinational and incumbent bank.
Before establishing its consultancy practice, Constantinos was for 4,5 years the Chairman and CEO of Tora Wallet, a licensed eMoney institution and a full subsidiary of OPAP Group, a publicly listed gaming group in Greece renowned in its industry worldwide. Constantinos led the effort from company establishment to license from the Greek Central Bank and consequent certification of more than 3.000 OPAP stores as Tora points of service, creating the largest financial services network in Greece.
During the same period, he served as CEO of Tora Direct, a commercial company owned by OPAP Group, which focuses on electronic format products (prepaid mobile top-up, store value products and other) distributed through a network that spans thousands of POS across Greece like kiosks, retailers, OPAP and convenience stores.
Previously, he was Director of Cards & Payments in Piraeus Bank, having the overall responsibility for card acquiring, payments across all channels in the bank and the eBusiness & eGovernment units. Under his leadership, the Bank secured the Greek market’s top position in both payments and card acquiring, achieving tremendous growth rates and commission revenue streams. He has also established the first-ever Customer Experience Unit in the Greek banking sector, delivering numerous bank-wide projects and the bank’s customer-centric dashboard application (currently in use with more than 10.000 users).
Before that, Constantinos held various senior commercial positions in Greek and multinational Information Technology companies like Microsoft, Intellisolutions and Information Dynamics (Siebel’s local distributor in the Greek market). Constantinos possesses effective strategy formulation, people leadership and product innovation skills, and in-depth technology understanding and digitalization expertise. He specialises in greenfield projects and setting up new ventures. He also masters sales and negotiation skills in enterprise technology and business projects.
He has been a lecturer and adjunct professor for many years in MIS, eBusiness and electronic payments, while he has served long-term engagement in several bodies like Hellenic Bank Association, Federation of Hellenic Information Technology and Communications Enterprises and Greek eCommerce Association. He is a seasoned speaker in local and international industry conferences, addressing subjects in the area of his expertise.
Constantinos holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business in the UK and a BSc degree in Business Administration from the American College of Greece. He is married and a father of three.
